Empowering communities through gender-responsive digital innovation for climate justice and resilience.

The Climate Justice and Digital Resilience program harnesses the power of data, technology, and innovation to strengthen the capacity of women, youth, and marginalized communities to adapt to and respond to the growing impacts of climate change. Grounded in the understanding that climate justice is inseparable from digital inclusion, gender justice, and social equity, this program promotes equitable access to climate information, green technologies, and digital tools that enable community-driven climate adaptation, mitigation, resilience and advocacy.
GTIN works closely with rural and underserved communities to raise awareness on climate-related risks, promote the use of gender-disaggregated data for climate action, and foster locally-led innovation through sustainable ICT solutions.  At its core, the program is gender-responsive, ensuring that women and girls are not only protected from the disproportionate effects of climate change but are also empowered as leaders, innovators, and decision-makers in building resilient, climate-smart digital communities.
Recognizing the role of technology in addressing climate change, we also explore how digital rights intersect with climate justice. We advocate for inclusive digital systems that allow communities to access climate data, participate in climate-related decision-making, and benefit from technology-driven climate solutions without compromising their rights or privacy.
