Fostering digital inclusion is crucial to creating a level playing field and providing equal opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) to safely access and utilize the vast opportunities offered by the internet. By promoting inclusive participation, we enable PWDs to engage meaningfully in societal matters, amplify their voices, and strengthen their constructive interactions with various stakeholders.
Under its Data and Innovation Program, Global Tech Inclusion Network (GTIN), is developing an advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven technology designed to assist individuals with visual impairments. This cutting-edge innovation aims to empower the blind and visually impaired by enabling them to access internet-driven opportunities, including education, healthcare, and other critical services.
In addition to supporting internet accessibility, this initiative seeks to bridge the digital divide for PWDs by creating tools and solutions that address their unique challenges. Our ultimate goal is to promote inclusion and equity in internet accessibility, ensuring that PWDs can fully participate in the digital world and enjoy its transformative benefits.
Through this project, GTIN envisions a society where technology becomes a powerful tool for empowerment, fostering independence, and unlocking opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
